The current events in the USA have compelled me to write. Currently, I am in a hope studies class and we were asked to write a caring credo. I thought I would share it with all of you.

Poem:
'I have a dream – a dream to change the world, making an impact on people one person at a time. Of having a place that would offer a safe space for individuals to feel empowered, to feel confident, and to feel worthy of care – not only from me but from everyone. I have a vision to provide services to people, offer support, compassion, care, and recognition. A place where everyone belongs.
I have a vision of a world - a world in which people are respected, loved, and cared for to the fullest. A world where all would be treated equally, regardless of our gender, identity, race, religion; to be treated equally because we are all one, we are all human. Each and every human deserving of the kindness of others and the kindness of themselves. A world where everyone belongs.
I envision a place where people feel welcome – a place we can all be our true authentic selves. A place that is full of happiness, joy, fulfillment, and excitement – a community. This place would offer people a new hope, a sense of purpose, and meaning. A place where everyone belongs.
I imagine a world of connection again – a place that has grown a deeper appreciation for others. A world in which we no longer take things for granted, instead, a place where we show our appreciation and we connect. Connecting with our true selves, connecting with those around us, and being fully present as we continue on our path of connection and compassion. A world with greater empathy, with more meaningful connection. A world where everyone belongs.
I believe in the future – the future where we are all accepted. A future where we feel safe being ourselves, a world where authenticity is respected. A future with hopes, dreams, passions. A future where we can all feel safe, loved, and cared for. The future is where everyone belongs.'
